WebQuest Information
What is a WebQuest? A GREAT EDUCATONAL TOOL! In short, it is an inquiry based, online lesson, where students use information from the internet to analyze, sythesize, and evaluate a situation or problem in order to fullfill a task. Where can I find them? There are literally thousands of WebQuests online on almost every subject. To find a WebQuest in your subject area do the following:
Go to a search engine such as Google and do a search by typing in your subject area in quotation marks and WebQuest. For example, "westward expansion"+WebQuest.
This is a quick way to find relevant WebQuests. You may also check the links listed below:
Before using a WebQuest you find online:
- Be sure to carefully go through it yourself and check the content. Is it relevant? Is it correct?
- Check all links to be certain that they are current. Sometimes links are no longer available.
- Check the validity of links. The WebQuest may look great, but its links are not.
- Check for grammatical errors.
