Proud To Be A Citizen

When I first saw those 42 immigrants become naturalized, I could really understand how lucky we actually are. Every time we see political problems, extreme poverty and civil wars in other countries, many of us don't take it seriously because America has so much to offer. As I was talking to my immigrant, he said he liked how in America, you can find out what is going on in the rest of the world.

Being an American citizen is something most of us take for granted. But, the only way you could really understand what America has to offer is if you have lived overseas for quite some time.

When I saw the look on each and every one of the immigrant's faces I could really feel how important this was to them. It was obvious that they had gone through many hardships to become true citizens of the United States of America!
