* A broken heart feels like the worst thing in the whole world, but it
really helps you to decide what you want and don’t want. You learn a lot
from a broken heart.
<<Jennifer
Love Hewitt, american actress
This quote relates to Looking For Alibrandi because, in the book Josephine
becomes really good friends with a guy named John Barton. But Josephine
begins to fall in love with John Barton and just as she begins to really
like him he commited suicide. Before John commited suicide him and Josephine
had decided to write all of the problems and plans for the future, on a
seperate piece of paper. She gave him her piece of paper and he gave her
his. Josephine had put the letter that John had given to her in her julery
box. After he died she had read what he had written, she cried a little
and than ripped it up and tossed the torn up pieces of paper out of the
window.
Can
you see what I see?
No I
don’t think you can
I see
images of nothing
and
I attempt to make that
nothingness
mean something
As hard
as I try there is
still
nothing and that nothing
is meaningless
I am
somewhere else now, outside
I am
surrounded by people and
the
sky. I see the people and the
blueness
of the sky
but
still nothing has changed
everything
remains the same
I am
still alone.
<<John

at all for him to do! He was llike a statue just sitting their not doing
anything....he had nothing to do. His dad had made John fufill all of his
dreams when he was little and an onging teen. But now John had nothing
to do so he was always bored.
