I have never really thought getting hit with a torpedo would be so interesting. I guess I did not think that would be interesting because I didn't think that would ever happen to me. When I was at the book store the cover of the book stood out to me, so I picked it up and read the back of the book. It went kind of like this “ the U.S.S. Indianapolis picked up a secret cargo over seas and was traveling in the pacific”. “ When it got hit by torpedoes from a Japanese submarine, the cargo was a large nuclear bomb”! That sounded very interesting to me.
The book started with a not that interesting start of them picking up a secret cargo.
If you did not read the book or have been there than you would have not know the characters, because they are people from the navy.
The large amount of details in the book and the never ending amount of natural and man made conflicts.
Defiantly Richard F. Newcomb knows his info about
the U.S.S. Indianapolis and it horrible ending.
