Reading this Nancy Drew book or any Nancy Drew book is like solving the mystery yourself.  Whenever I read this book I felt like I was right there solving the mystery with Nancy. (and sometimes her friends).  The reason for this is because the author (Edward Stratemeyer) always has such a way of describing things that you have the feeling of being right there with the other characters.

The setting in this book is mostly inside of the Footlighters stage area. Nancy and her friends Bess and George are solving trying to solve the mystery day and night practically 24/7 I’m surprised they have time to sleep! I have kind of found a process that Nancy tries solving the mysteries. She usually finds as many clues as possible during the day and then when night comes she will already have some ideas of where to look for the suspects. Nancy is a very clever sleuth and is always looking out for herself and others.

In this book Nancy, Bess, and George are all trying to find who has taken jewels from innocent people and why that they where. The criminals get around by using life sized puppets to scare off they three sleuths so that they can have more time to get the money for the jewels.  Nancy, Bess, and George are all searching for the criminals and they do come up with many clues. Whenever Nancy solves a mystery she must have enough proof that those are they real criminals or should I say suspects for now, before she can tell the police about who that they think is it.

Nancy is one of those mystery solvers that never gets off track.  She always stays with the program. Such as in this book she is never like “Oh, lets forget about they mystery and have someone else solve it why don’t we go do something fun.” Some detectives or sleuths can get so off track that they accidentally hurt themselves.  Nancy just always stay right on her top of her mystery and always has the mystery solved in the end!
