As I look over the top of the tallest bookshelf  I see tons of  great books stocked into many other tall bookshelves. I also see very  large windows with a great view of the pond and patio in Mr. Stratemeyer's backyard.

There he is, the famous Edward Stratemeyer. He is walking over to his large typewriter placed upon his paper covered desk. I am going to take a closer look at what all of these scattered papers are. Hmm... it looks as if they are drafts to his newest book. They are really messy so I cannot make out what they say. I guess that when he makes a sloppy copy (or a rough draft) it really is a sloppy copy!

Oh, my goodness and there are his daughters in heart shaped frames on his desk. They say something on the frames... I think it may be their names, let me go see. Yes, that’s what they say Edna and Harriet that's what his two daughter's names are now I remember.

Hey, look at all of the new articles that Edward tacked onto his wall. There must be about 20 different articles up there! Wow, let me go and see what they say... Hmm, listen to this... it says Edward Stratemeyer Opens New Company, I never new that. It says that the company was called The Stratemeyer Syndicate. This company was developed in 1905 for Edward to purchase existing stories and to plot new ones for the ghostwriters.

Oh no, what is he doing now? It looks as if he is holding his chest, that is never a good sign for anything. Oh my goodness, now he has started breathing heavy, and is panting a little. I do not know what could be wrong even though his actions to everything lately have been rather slow going. Well, at least he has not stopped moving. Now he is getting up from his work and looks as if he is heading over to lie down on the couch. I hope that he will be all right, I don't even think that he got to finish his writing piece.

Since he is lying on the couch resting I'm going to check out what he has written on the typewriter. To me it doesn't look as if he has finished it yet. It looks as if he is almost done but not quite. I am going to search for the first page. It must be under here somewhere! I wonder if it is a new book to an old series, or a starting of a new series. I hope this books genre will be mystery, since most of the others are. That is my favorite kind of genre too! Okay, here it is. It's titled The Secret Of The Old Clock. Hmm, this is new, and by someone no one have heard about Carolyn Keene. Carolyn Keene that's not his name, oh yeah I remember reading in one of his articles on the wall. He has written thousands of books and they are written in more than 60 pen names (sort of like fake names). This has got to be one of them. Wow!

This book seems to be a mystery (my favorite). Oh my goodness, it's one of the books to the new Nancy Drew books' series! I was eavesdropping on a conversation and heard that he was going to have a new series and what it was about and this is one of them.

That is cool but only if Mr. Stratemeyer would come and finish it that would be great because I could get a first read! Oh no, I wonder if he is okay, let's go check on him. It's very quiet in here, he is looking quite pale, and I am not sure if he is breathing or not! Oh no, Oh no, this is not good Mr. Stratemeyer is dead and has not finished his story. What a horrible thing for him and for us his readers! No one will ever match his creative writing style. He will be greatly missed by many, many readers!
