Hardy Boys--- The House on the Cliff
Franklin W. Dixon (Edward Stratemeyer)
I had read some of the Nancy Drew books already by the same author and i liked them alot. That made me decide to try and read some of the other things he had written. Theres a lot of mystery in the book and alot of parts that keep you in great suspence. The House on the Cliff had a lot of good details and a good story to keep you reading. I knew the whole time i was reading the book is that i wanted to know what was goin to happen next.
I like the way that the characters in the book are always very well developed. I like how they all have a very different personality and have lots of different traits that you can really pick up by the way he writes about them. You can also tell their emoitons by the words the uses to explian expressions and the ways that they are doing something.
I really like the genre mystery. I just makes you want to keep on reading the book and leaves you in suspence. Most of the books that we wrote like the hardy boys were mysteries too like nancy drew, the dana girls, and others. If you like mystery like me... this is a good read! And even if you arent into mystery this book will make you want to keep reading from the genre!
They are always doing something new and doing something brave and interesting. they do a lot of things that normal boys around the age of 10 do and they do a lot to help thier dad who is a detcective. They help him solve cases, find clues, and catch the bad guys! Every little boys and girls dream.
Overall I liked the book a lot. It really kept me interested and made me not want to put it down. I would reccommend this to anyone, of any age as a good read!
