The book Patriot Games by Tom Clancy I think is a very good book by a very good author. U have read several books by Tom Clancy and I have liked all of them. I really enjoy that even though they are adult books they are stiil understandable to me. I think that he writes his books interestingly because you will find some stuff out but then you will find more out later when you may have forgotten about it.

     The book takes place mostly in England and in America at CIA headquarters and Annapolis. It takes palce in the mid- 80’s. It takes place over the cource of a year. I feel that with it taking place in two different countries you get a mix of things. There is also a lot of Irish in the book because they are what get the book going.

     A group of Irish terrorists attack the Royal Family when Jack Ryan, an American, is on vacation in England. Jack stops the attacks, but this leads to terrorists threats, the CIA to become an analsis, and to the max of his wiil power. Now he has to see if he and his family can survive it all.

     Jack Ryan is a ex-marine who teaches at Anapolis Academy. He had worked with the CIA briefly before last summer, but doesn’t want back in. Sean Miller belongs to an Irish terrorist group called ULA. He was one of the people that Jack stopped from killing the Royals and now he wants revenge for the ones that Jack killed.

     The book rarely slows down and there are a lot of plot twists. it is real fun watching Jack snoop down and fine clues on to where they are hiding. It is a great book that is for those who like action thriller books.
